TGFV – A Peaceable Place – Grade 4

The evidence-based Too Good for Violence – A Peaceable Place program empowers fourth graders with the tools they need to be positive role models in their schools and communities and to make healthy choices on their journeys to reaching their goals.

Through fun, interactive games, activities, and role-play, students learn and practice skills including setting reachable goals, making responsible decisions, identifying and managing emotions , and communicating effectively.  Students work together as they learn how to celebrate differences, manage frustration,  resolve conflict peacefully, and identify and respond to bullying situations in healthy ways.

In “The Race is On” game, students practice healthy ways to identify and manage emotions and in “Canoe be My Friend?” they learn the characteristics of positive friendships. In Friendship Files, students practice the skills they’ve developed throughout the course, promoting positive prosocial norms for a stronger classroom community. 

The Grade 4 Curriculum Kit is available in two sizes:

• Standard Curriculum Kit – for classrooms of up to 24 students. 
• Large Curriculum Kit – for classrooms of up to 30 students.
