TGFV-A Peaceable Place Grade 2, starring Wagner the Peace-Able Pup, teaches children to put their best foot forward. Through song, puppets, and fun, interactive activities, second graders show Wagner how to get along with other students and celebrate their differences on a fun and interactive journey of setting reachable goals, communicating effectively, and making responsible decisions.
Wagner and his cast of furry friends take the students on a journey to set reachable goals and make responsible decisions. Students go on a scavenger hunt to find classmates who respond to their emotions in healthy ways, use I-messages to help Wagner communicate assertively, and practice their active listening skills with their Listen Up Pups.
Children learn social and anger management skills including how to get to know others, resolve conflict peacefully, and help Wagner learn to treat others with care, kindness, and respect in order to stay on the path to a peaceable place. With the help of their classmates and friends, they learn to manage frustration and work together find multiple ways to solve problems.
Daily Workouts, Home Workouts, and cross-curricular activities follow each lesson so students can practice and apply the concepts developed in each lesson at home and with their peers.
