The evidence-based TGFV-A Peaceable Place program for Grade 3 lays the groundwork for peaceable living through a fun and interactive journey of setting reachable goals, communicating effectively, and making responsible decisions. This quick-paced prevention education curriculum focuses on developing students’ social skills and reinforces those skills through interactive, social activities.
Additional learning and development concepts include maintaining self-control, managing anger, resolving conflict, and managing bully situations.
In the lunchroom, Penny learns how to manage her anger and maintain self-control as other kids tease her and try to embarrass her. On the playground, Jessup, Mavis, Loretta, and Henry learn how bullying behavior affects everyone involved in a bully situation including the bully, the target, and the witnesses.
Student navigate the peaceable path to cooperative conflict resolution, differentiate bullying situations and teasing, and find useful quick reference strategies to keep calm when frustrated. Follow up activities provide daily workouts to practice and reinforce the concepts developed in each lesson.
This curriculum kit includes lesson activity materials for classrooms of up to 30 students.
